I find word clouds fascinating as a visual representation of what people are writing. Squarespace has released its own tag cloud widget which I used here to create our site's first version of a word cloud. I'm not totally satisfied with it as it is only based on the tags I choose to add to each blog post. Because its based on the tags not the actually text of the posts themselves, it doesn't provide a "true" metric of what we are writing about. What obviously stands out is the amount of time we spend writing and thinking about police misconduct. This is an issue that continues to get attention and will hopefully continue to do so until police violence dramatically decreases.
